English club West Ham has announced the appointment of Julen Lopetegui as their new head coach.
The Spanish specialist will start working with the "Hammers" on July 1. Lopetegui has previously had experience in the Premier League - in the 2022/2023 season, he led Wolverhampton, which was relegated from the English top division that season.
Lopetegui has also managed Porto, the Spanish national team, Real Madrid, and Sevilla, with whom he won the Europa League in the 2019/2020 season.
In early May 2024, it became known that Lopetegui was being considered as the main candidate for the head coach position at Bayern Munich.
