Kurt Hamrin, Last Participant Of 1958 World Cup Final, Passed Away

Press service of the Swedish Football Association reported the death of former footballer Kurt Hamrin. The former player of the Swedish national team passed away at the age of 89.

One of Swedish football’s biggest icons has left us. Rest in peace Kurt “Kurre” Hamrin. “Kurre” Hamrin was a big factor in Sweden’s World Cup silver in 1958. He is a legend at both AIK and Fiorentina for his efforts at the clubs.

Hamrin was the last participant of the final match of the world championship in 1958. Then the Swedish national team lost to the Brazilian team with Pele with a score of 2:5.

The footballer played for AIK, Stockholm, Juventus, Padova, Fiorentina, Milan and Napoli.
