Marca: Terrorists Threaten Attacks At Champions League Quarter-Final Matches

The Spanish publication Marca reported that terrorist acts may be carried out at the upcoming quarter-final matches of the 2023/2024 Champions League season.

The responsibility for potential terrorist actions has been claimed by the "Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant," or ISIS. Through their media channels, the organization published an image of an armed man and the names of the arenas where the quarter-final matches of the Champions League will take place (Emirates in London, Parc des Princes in Paris, Wanda Metropolitano and Santiago Bernabeu in Madrid). The image was captioned with the phrase "Kill them all."

It has been reported that the security authorities in Spain have already informed the leadership of Real Madrid about the threat from terrorists. The country's Ministry of the Interior has classified the match as "high risk" and enhanced security measures have been put in place for spectators planning to attend the event.

On April 9, Real Madrid will play against Manchester City, while Arsenal will host Bayern Munich. The following day, Paris Saint-Germain will face Barcelona, and Atletico will meet Borussia Dortmund.
