Mbappe Injured In French Cup One Week Before Champions League Playoffs

Striker Paris Saint-Germain and the national team of France Kylian Mbappe suffered an ankle injury during the home game of the French Cup last 16 against Brest (3:1), according to football.fr website.

The 25-year-old forward was roughly tackled by center-back Lilian Brassier in the 69th minute of the match. The Pirates' defender was sent off the pitch after receiving a second yellow card. Mbappe suffered an ankle injury but managed to play the match to the end.

Note that on February 10 the Parisians will have a home match in Ligue 1 against Lille. PSG is leading in the standings of the Ligue 1 after 20 rounds of the season-2023/2024, scoring 47 points.
