Thanks to the away victory Uruguay gained 10 points and moved up to second place in the standings. The Argentines maintain the lead with 12 points.
Earlier, Argentina defender Nicolas Tagliafico, who plays for French Olympique Lyon, said that the team needs to win the 2024 Copa America for Messi to play at the World Cup-2026.
