Messi's goal against Benfica is the best in Champions League group stage

PSG Argentine forward Lionel Messi's goal against Benfica (1-1) was named the best Champions League group stage goal of the season 2022/23, according to the official website of the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA).

Second place went to Manchester City's Norwegian forward Erling Haaland's goal in the second round match against Borussia Dortmund (2-1).

Another accurate shot by Messi is in third place, which he scored in a home game against Maccabi Israel (7-2).

Messi has played a total of five matches in the group stage of this season's Champions League. The 35-year-old Argentinian has four goals and four assists on his record.
