MU Sells 25 Percent Of Shares To Jim Ratcliffe

The press service of Manchester United reported that the club has sold 25 percent of the B-class club and up to 25 percent of the A-class shares to INEOS chairman Sir Jim Ratcliffe.

It is reported that the entrepreneur's company will make an additional €270 million investment in Old Trafford. Also, INEOS gets the opportunity to run MU's football operations.

This applies to the club's men's and women's teams, as well as the Red Devils' academies. In addition, Ratcliffe's company will get two seats each on the board of Manchester United PLC and on the board of Manchester United FC.

Earlier it was reported that the businessman will invest $300 million to modernize the infrastructure of the club, as well as increase the capacity of the Old Trafford stadium in Manchester to 90 thousand seats.
