According to the source, senior management of Los Blancos believes that Modric's time at the club has come to an end, and they want to focus on young players, including 19-year-old midfielder Arda Guler. In Madrid, they believe that the Turkish player can repeat Modric's success. It is noted that this season, Guler did not receive enough game time mainly due to Modric often coming on as a substitute.
It is worth mentioning that this season, the Croatian participated in 43 matches in all competitions, scoring two goals and providing eight assists.
