Real Madrid's Modric Plans To Compete In 2026 World Cup

Midfielder of Real Madrid, Luka Modric, may leave the club next summer due to the expiration of his contract.

According to Cadena SER, Modric intends to continue playing for at least two more years. He is also determined to continue representing Croatia and play with them at the 2026 World Cup in Mexico, Canada, and the USA.

It was previously revealed that the Croatian declined an offer from Real Madrid's head coach, Carlo Ancelotti, to join the team's coaching staff.

The Croatian midfielder has been playing for Real since 2012. Modric is a five-time UEFA Champions League winner, a silver and bronze World Cup medalist, and a Ballon d'Or winner.
