Roma Legend Francesco Totti Firm On Decision To Stay Away From Club

Francesco Totti, the long-time captain of Italian club Roma, has responded to questions about whether he will return to the team as a coach or in another role.

Totti told Cult of Calcio:

I will never return. You keep asking me this question every time. I will not return.

Totti holds the record for the most matches played and goals scored for Roma. He has played 786 matches and scored 307 goals.

Francesco played for Roma from 1992 to 2017. The capital club is the only team in his career with which he became a champion of Italy, a two-time winner of the country's Cup, and a two-time winner of the Italian Super Cup. Totti is also a World Cup champion from 2006.

From 2017 to 2019, Totti held the position of the club's director.
