The press service of Spanish Sevilla has confirmed the transfer of Croatian midfielder Ivan Rakitic to Al-Shabab from the Saudi Arabian championship.
The club announced the termination of the contract with the vice world champion. Rakitic played for the Red-and-Whites from 2011 to 2014 and from 2020 to 2024. The midfielder won two Europa League titles with the team.
Rakitic is about to move to Al-Shabab from Riyadh, which is in 11th place in the Saudi Arabian league table.
Rakitic has scored two goals with one assist in 18 matches of the current season of the Spanish La Liga.
