Vidal Says Fans Have No Right to Insult Messi

Flamengo midfielder Arturo Vidal stood up for PSG forward Lionel Messi, who was criticized by fans of the French club.

It may be recalled that Messi left the club without the permission of the team management and went to Saudi Arabia. It happened after the defeat in the 33rd round match of the French championship against Lorient (1-3).

Arturo Vidal, quoted by ESPN
It’s crazy. These people are getting crazier and crazier. You can’t insult the best player in the world, you can just watch him play. It’s clear he didn’t win them the Champions League, the Cup, but they’re leading in the league. And on top of that, he is a world champion. He has participated in every game, he has never been injured.

The midfielder also added that it was Messi who made most of the assists in the team and scored many goals himself, along with Kylian Mbappe.

This season, the Argentine has 20 goals and 19 assists in 37 games for PSG in all championships. His contract with Paris expires this summer. According to media reports, Messi has no plans to stay in the French capital.
