Zidane Considered For Marseille Manager Position

According to journalist Jerome Rothen, French coach Zinedine Zidane may take the post of Marseille manager if the club is sold.

According to the source, earlier Zidane refused the offer to lead the national team of Algeria, as he is waiting for an offer from Marseille.

In November 2023, the France Bleu Provence media outlet reported that the specialist was considered for the position of Marseille general manager.

Earlier, a member of the Saudi royal family Prince Abdullah Saad Abdulaziz Al Saud said that he could buy Marseille, not ruling out the appointment of Zidane as head coach.

Recall, the most recent place of work of the coach was Real Madrid. Under his leadership, los Blancos twice won the Spanish championship title, became two-time winners of the Super Cup of the country and won the Champions League three times. The specialist left his post in May 2021.

At the moment, Marseille is in seventh place in the Ligue 1 table with 28 points.

Earlier, Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti called Zidane the strongest player he ever worked with, and Lionel Messi expressed his admiration for the Frenchman.
