Zinedine Zidane Will Not Lead Bayern Munich

According to the German newspaper Bild, the management of the Bundesliga club Bayern Munich does not intend to enter into any negotiations with the French specialist Zinedine Zidane, despite the rejections from other contenders.

Zizou's last coaching position was at Real Madrid, where the 51-year-old former French midfielder left in May 2021. On April 19, L'Equipe reported that the coach himself would prefer to lead the English Manchester United instead of the Munich team, and therefore declined the negotiations.

Earlier, the media reported that Bayern Munich failed to reach an agreement with the head coach of Bayer Xabi Alonso, Roger Schmidt from Benfica, and with the coach of the Austrian national team, Ralf Rangnick. After 34 rounds of the 2023/2024 Bundesliga season, the team from Munich is in third place with 72 points.
