Hašek calls not to boo Russians at NHL game in Prague

Two-time Stanley Cup winner and Olympic champion of the Czech national team, Dominik Hašek, in his social networks asked not to boo the Russian players in the NHL games in Prague.

On October 7, the NHL Global Series season kicks off in Prague. San Jose Sharks and Nashville Predators will play in the first game. Earlier, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic Martin Smolek said that the agency warned the NHL about a possible entry ban for Russian citizens. Later, the Czech Foreign Ministry said the Czech Republic would allow Russian players in the country with previously issued Schengen visas.

Dominik Hašek
The NHL doesn't respect the decision of our Foreign Ministry. Apparently Russian hockey players will play. It's not the players' fault - don't boo them. The NHL management is fully responsible for this. The league will be responsible for all the consequences of this decision.

Russian forwards Alexander Barabanov and Evgeny Svechnikov play for San Jose, and Yakov Trenin plays for Nashville.
