Former UFC champion Israel Adesanya has spoken out about the upcoming lightweight title rematch between Alex Volkanovski and Islam Makhachev, which will take place on October 21 at UFC 294 in Abu Dhabi.

Makhachev and Volkanovski had their first fight in February of this year at UFC 284 in Australia. This fight lasted the entire distance and ended in favor of Islam by unanimous decision of the judges. He has 24 wins and one defeat on his record. Alexander has 26 wins and two losses.
Adesanya last entered the octagon against Sean Strickland in September of this year at UFC 293. Israel was defeated in that confrontation by unanimous decision of the judges. He has 24 wins and three losses on his record.
