Almeida And Romanov To Fight On June 1 At UFC 302

A heavyweight bout between Brazilian Jailton Almeida and Moldovan Alexandr Romanov will take place on June 1 as part of the UFC 302 event, which will take place in New Jersey (USA).

This is reported by the AG Fight website. Recall, earlier Almeida said he had signed a contract for a fight against Russian Alexander Volkov, but later UFC CEO Dana White announced Volkov's fight against Sergei Pavlovich at the league's tournament in Saudi Arabia.

Almeida, 32, last fought on March 9 at UFC 299, where he lost by second-round knockout to Curtis Blaydes. In total, Jaliton has 20 wins and three losses.

Romanov, 33, last fought against Blagoy Ivanov in July of this year at UFC on ESPN 48. In this confrontation, Alexander won by unanimous decision of the judges. He has 17 wins and two losses on his mixed martial arts record.
