Cejudo May End Career after Loss to Sterling at UFC 288

Former UFC two-weight champion Henry Cejudo spoke out about his loss against Aljamain Sterling at UFC 288 in Newark, New York, USA.

Henry Cejudo
He’s tougher than what I thought. He’s a gamer. It’s been a few years but no excuses. It was close but Aljamain did his job, he got the victory. I think we go back and think about it. If I’m not first, I’m last. Who knows this may be the last time you see me in the octagon.

Recall, in the main event of UFC 288, which took place on the night of May 7 in Newark (USA), Cejudo suffered a loss to Sterling by split decision of the judges. Thus, Aljamain defended his title of the bantamweight division for the third time.

Sterling, 33, had fought before at UFC 280 in October 2022, where he defeated T.J. Dillashaw by TKO in the second round. Sterling, 33, has 23 wins and three losses.

Cejudo, 36, defeated Dominick Cruz by TKO in the second round at UFC 249 in May 2020. 36-year-old Сejudo has 16 wins and three losses under his belt.
