Combat sambo coach kills child during training

Azerbaijani judo and sambo coach, bronze medalist of the Second European Games Mehman Khalilov beat a 7-year-old child to death during a training session at a sports school.

Video surveillance cameras showed the beating of the boy. The footage shows Khalilov battering the young athlete. As a result, the seven-year-old child broke his neck and was taken to a children's hospital, where he died.

Khalilov, 28, is a bronze medalist at the 2018 European Championships and the 2019 European Games and a 2018 World Cup winner. In 2015, Mehman represented Azerbaijan at the World Sambo Championships in Casablanca in the 57-kilogram weight category.
