Former UFC two-division champion Daniel Cormier commented on a potential fight between Khamzat Chimaev and UFC middleweight champion Alex Pereira.

If we were to arrange a fight between Khamzat and Alex right now, Khamzat would be a huge favorite. Just because of his style. Chimaev's style doesn't suit Pereira at all.
Chimaev, 28, had his last fight in September 2022 at UFC 279, defeating Kevin Holland by submission (D'Arce choke) in the first round. He has 12 wins and no losses under his belt.
Pereira, 35, won the UFC middleweight title on the night of November 13 at UFC 281 with a fifth-round TKO over Israel Adesanya. He has seven wins and one loss under his belt.
