Former UFC middleweight title challenger Paulo Costa spoke out on his social media about his brawl with Shovkhal Churchaev during the UFC 294 event in Abu Dhabi:
Ya know what? Technically i fought in #UFC294 . I already beat 3 chenchen s in a brawl . Give me my wins.
Recall that Churchaev and several other men attacked the Brazilian at the event.
Recall, initially at UFC 294 Costa was supposed to step into the octagon against Khamzat Chimaev, but shortly before the tournament he caught a staph infection and withdrew from the fight.
Costa last stepped into the octagon in August 2022: at UFC 278 he fought Luke Rockhold. In this confrontation, which lasted allotted three rounds, the victory was awarded to Paulo. He has 14 wins and two losses.
