A rematch between Cody Garbrandt and Dominick Cruz may take place this July. Recall that the first match between these fighters was held in 2016 and ended in favor of Cody by a unanimous decision of the judges.

Ali Abdelaziz (Cody Garbrandt's manager - ed.) called me the other day and asked: "Wouldn't you like to have a rematch with Dominick Cruz in July?" Of course, I said yes. I have no problem with Dominick, I have a lot of respect for him, but I feel he doesn't stand a chance against me.
Garbrandt's last fight was against Trevin Jones on March 5 at UFC 285. That bout was won by unanimous decision of the judges over Cody. He has 13 wins and five losses under his belt.
Cruz last fought Marlon Vera in August 2022 at UFC on ESPN 41. That fight ended in a fourth-round knockout loss to Dominick. He has 24 wins and four losses under his belt.
