Dana White Explains Why McGregor's Return Is Delayed: He Doesn't Need The F***ing Money

UFC head Dana White revealed the reason for uncertainty with the return to the octagon of the promotion's former double champion Conor McGregor, who last competed in the league in 2021.

In an interview with Kevin Iole, White said:

Dana White
He is coming back from one of the nastiest injuries you could come back from. The guys who break that bone - that's an issue right there, number one. Number two is Conor McGregor doesn't need the f***ing money. I know he's training. I don't know what level of training he's doing. I don't know what level of kicking he's doing right now. I don't know any of that stuff... I need to know the guy is in a full camp and he's ready to go.

McGregor has previously said he plans to return to the octagon this summer. His opponent for his next fight should be American Michael Chandler.

McGregor last went into the octagon against Dustin Poirier in July 2021 at UFC 264. Conor lost this fight by technical knockout after breaking his leg. He has 22 wins and six losses on his record.
