12th ranked UFC heavyweight, American fighter Derrick Lewis has stated his desire to try his hand at the world's leading wrestling league, WWE, while continuing his career in the UFC.

Lewis defeated Rodrigo Nascimento by technical knockout in the third round at UFC on ESPN 56 on 12 May in St. Louis, USA.
Lewis, 39, previously stepped into the octagon in November 2023 at UFC Fight Night 231, losing to Jailton Almeida by unanimous decision. He has 28 wins, 12 losses and one fight was ruled a no contest.
Nascimento, 31, last fought at UFC Fight Night 231 in November 2023, defeating Don'tale Mayes by unanimous decision. He has ten wins and two losses on his record.
