On August 5 at Ford Field in Detroit, Michigan, USA, former UFC women's bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey lost by submission (choke) to former MMA fighter Shayna Baszler.
The fight took place at WWE SummerSlam show and was promoted as a real fight under the MMA rules.
Rousey, 36, last stepped into the cage against Amanda Nunes. Their confrontation took place in December 2016 at UFC 207. In this fight, Ronda was defeated by technical knockout in the first round. After this fight, she left the promotion and made her WWE debut in April 2018. She has 12 wins and two losses under her belt in MMA.
Baszler, 42, last fought in mixed martial arts in February 2017 at Deep - Jewels 15, losing to Reina Miura by unanimous decision from the judges. Shayna signed her contract with WWE in late 2017. She has 15 wins and 11 losses under her belt.
