The welterweight bout between Icelandic fighter Gunnar Nelson and American Bryan Barberena will take place on March 18 at UFC 286.
Nelson was originally scheduled to face Daniel Rodriguez, but the American withdrew from the fight for an undisclosed reason.
Nelson, 34, had his last fight in March 2022 at UFC Fight Night 204, beating Takashi Sato by unanimous decision. He has 18 wins and five losses under his belt.
Barberena, 33, lost to Rafael dos Anjos in the second round by submission (neck crank) at UFC on ESPN 42 in December 2022. He has 18 wins and nine losses under his belt.
