Holloway Explains Why He Agreed To Fight Gaethje

Former UFC featherweight champion Max Holloway has spoken out about his upcoming bout against BMF champion Justin Gaethje on April 14 at UFC 300 in Las Vegas, USA.

Max Holloway
Justin Gaethje looked like he needed a dance partner, and just threw my name in the hat. The BMF belt is great. I can do both classes. Why not throw my name in the hat? I think a lot of doors are going to get opened, a lot of options are going to be open. We’ll see what happens. … First things first is the man in front of me.

Holloway last fought against "Korean Zombie" this past August at UFC Fight Night 225. In that fight, Max won by knockout in the third round. He has 25 wins and seven losses on his record.

Gaethje last stepped into the octagon against Dustin Poirier in July of this year at UFC 291. This fight, which was stopped in the second round, ended in favor of Justin by knockout. He has 25 wins and four losses under his belt.
