Former UFC lightweight title challenger Al Iaquinta spoke in an interview about the October 22 fight between Petr Yan and Sean O'Malley in the main card of UFC 280.

Al Iaquinta
Honestly, I don't even know who will win this fight. Petr Yan is the toughest opponent O'Malley has ever faced, that's for sure. But I think Yan is a very good stylistic match for O'Malley in a lot of ways. Petr is more of a stand-up guy, maybe not as long. And O'Malley likes to keep it on his feet and actually use his length. It's a very interesting fight, I'm very excited to see who comes out the winner.

Yan last entered the Octagon in April 2022 at UFC 273, losing to Aljamain Sterling by split decision. On his record he had 16 wins and three losses.

O'Malley fought Pedro Munhoz on the night of July 3 at UFC 276. That fight was stopped in the second round and ruled a mistrial due to an accidental poke to the eye by O'Malley. He has 15 wins and one loss.
