Jacob Brennan, a 40-year-old man who is the coach and husband of UFC bantamweight fighter Hailey Cowan, was arrested in Texas on charges of sexual molestation of a minor. He can face two to 20 years in prison.
According to court documents in the criminal case, a woman who was a former student of Brennan told investigators that he inappropriately touched her when he trained her from 2013 to 2015. Brennan also kissed her multiple times and touched her genitals. At the time of the alleged abuse, the woman was 13 years old, while Brennan was 30.
Cowan, 32, last fought in April 2023 at UFC on ESPN 45, losing to Jamey-Lyn Horth by unanimous decision. She has seven wins and three losses on her record.
