Former UFC light heavyweight champion Jamahal Hill has announced his intention to fight against interim heavyweight division champion Tom Aspinall.

Hill last stepped into the octagon against Glover Teixeira in January 2023 at UFC 283. That fight went the full distance and ended in Jamahal's favor with a unanimous judges' decision. He has 12 wins and one loss on his record.
On November 12 at UFC 295, Tom Aspinall defeated Sergei Pavlovich by first-round knockout to become the promotion's interim heavyweight champion. He has 14 wins and three losses on his record.
