Kayla Harrison Hopes To Face Cris Cyborg After PFL And Bellator Merger

American Kayla Harrison, the PFL lightweight champion for the 2019 and 2021 seasons, has announced her intention to fight Bellator featherweight champion Cris Cyborg after the merger of the two organizations.

Earlier, the PFL founder and co-owner announced the purchase of the Bellator MMA promotion and his intention to host a "Champion vs. Champion" tournament.

I just get tired of talking about her. It does [feel realistic now], it feels closer than ever. That’s why I’m not going to jinx it, not going to talk about it, not going to think about it. I’m just going to focus on Friday. Do everything I have to do to set up that awesome event. Until then, I’m not thinking about it.

As a reminder, Kayla Harrison will fight Aspen Ladd on November 24 as part of the PFL season finale.

In her last fight, held in November 2022, the 33-year-old Harrison lost to Larissa Pacheco by unanimous decision of judges. She has 15 wins and one loss on her record.

Ladd, 28, defeated Karolina Sobek by second-round submission at PFL 5 in June 2023. She has 11 wins and four losses on her record.
