UFC women's flyweight division No. 4 ranked Maycee Barber reacted to Rose Namajunas' desire to fight her.
MMAmania quotes Barber as saying:
For the first time, I can actually say that me fighting Rose Namajunas would be fighting backwards in the division. I'm down to fight for the number one contender's spot [against Fiorot] but at the same time I want my rematch [against Alexa Grasso], I don't feel like I have anything else to prove.
Barber, 25, last stepped into the octagon in March 2024 at UFC 299, defeating Katlyn Chookagian by unanimous decision. She has 14 wins and two losses on her record.
