The founder of AKA gym Javier Mendez spoke out about the upcoming fight between UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya and Alex Pereira, which will be the main event of UFC 281 on Nov. 12.

I think it will be more of a kickboxing match. But I may be wrong. Israel might want to put Alex on the ground because he has more experience there. Pereira has an incredible left hook. If the fight goes in the standup and Izzy starts to win, he shouldn't get carried away because Pereira has a hydrogen bomb behind him. That left hook has incredible power.
Adesanya, 33, last entered the Octagon in July 2022 at UFC 276, defeating Jared Cannonier by unanimous decision. He has 23 wins and one loss.
Pereira, 35, had his last fight at UFC 276, knocking out Sean Strickland in the first round. He has six wins and one loss under his belt.
