Ngannou on his fight against Jones: We can forget about it

Former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou believes his fight against Jon Jones is unlikely to ever happen due to his departure from the league.

I'd like to fight Jon, but unfortunately that's not going to happen. This fight will probably never happen because he has a very long-term contract with the UFC. So we can forget about this fight.

On March 5, at UFC 285, Jon won a first-round submission victory over Frenchman Ciryl Gane to win the vacant heavyweight title. Jon now has 27 wins and one loss.

Ngannou had his last fight against Ciryl Gane of France at UFC 270 this past January. In this fight, which lasted the whole distance, Francis won by unanimous decision of the judges. He has 17 wins and three losses in mixed martial arts under his belt.
