Former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou has addressed current heavyweight champion Jon Jones, who greeted the Cameroonian heavyweight's mother during their meeting in Riyadh by hugging and kissing her hand.
Ngannou wrote on social media:
Fighting aside it was very respectable of you to greet my mom like this @JonnyBones . Much respect.
Recall, on March 8 in Riyadh (Saudi Arabia) Ngannou will fight Anthony Joshua.
The 37-year-old Ngannou made his professional ring debut in October 2023. He had a fight against WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury. That fight lasted the entire distance and ended with Francis losing by split decision of the judges.
Joshua, 34, last fought against Otto Wallin in December 2023 in Saudi Arabia. Anthony won that fight by technical knockout in the fifth round. He has 27 wins (24 by knockout) and three losses.
