Oliveira Wants Rematch With Makhachev In November In Brazil

Former UFC lightweight champion Charles Oliveira of Brazil said he expects a rematch with lightweight division champion Islam Makhachev in Brazil, adding that he would be ready to face the Russian in Abu Dhabi.

Charles Oliveira
My managers already know what I want, they know I want the belt, so let them clash heads with the organization to see what the next step is. I’ll go wherever they put me to fight. When I was the champion, I went to defend my title in his land. He said at the press conference he wanted to fight in Brazil, so why don’t he come fight in November in Brazil?

We should remind, that the fight between Islam Makhachev and Charles Oliveira in October, 2022 at UFC 280 tournament, ended with a victory of the Russian fighter by a choking submission in the second round.

On the night of June 11 in Vancouver, Canada, Oliveira fought American Beneil Dariush. The fight ended with the first-round TKO in the first round. Oliveira, 33, had 34 wins and nine losses.

Makhachev, 31, last competed in the Octagon in February 2023, at UFC 284, beating Alex Volkanovski by unanimous decision. He has 24 wins and one loss under his belt.
