O'Malley Wants His First Defense Of UFC Belt Against Vera At December Tournament In Las Vegas

UFC bantamweight champion Sean O'Malley said he wants to make his next fight against Marlon Vera at December's event in Las Vegas.

Recall, on August 20 at UFC 292 O'Malley defeated Aljamain Sterling by technical knockout in the second round and became the new champion of the bantamweight division. Vera defeated Pedro Munhoz by unanimous decision of the judges at the same tournament.

Sean O'Malley in a post-fight interview
Did Chito win? Was it boring? Probably. But I’ll whoop Chito’s ass in December in Vegas at T-Mobile [Arena]. Let’s f–king go, baby!

O'Malley, 28, previously stepped into the octagon in October 2022 at UFC 280, defeating Petr Yan by split decision. He has 17 wins and one loss under his belt.

Vera, 30, had his previous fight in March 2023 at UFC on ESPN 43 against Cory Sandhagen. In that confrontation, Marlon was defeated by split decision of the judges. He has 22 wins, eight losses and one draw.
