Former UFC middleweight champion Alex Pereira announced that his next fight in the promotion will be at light heavyweight.

My next fight will be at light heavyweight! Yeah, you heard it right. I think my middleweight journey is over and now I'm excited to move up to light heavyweight.
Recall, on April 9, in the main event of UFC 287, Pereira lost by knockout in the second round to Israel Adesanya and lost his middleweight title. It was their second fight under the UFC banner.
Their first mixed martial arts clash took place in November 2022 at UFC 281. Alex won that fight in the fifth round by TKO.
