Top Armenian-Russian UFC lightweight Arman Tsarukyan in an exclusive interview with Telecomasia.net commented on the upcoming fight between the promotion's former bantamweight champion Petr Yan and Chinese Song Yadong.
I see Petr Yan as the favorite. I think he will beat Song Yadong early, break his losing streak and get back into the title race. I think he will fight for the title again and become the champion.
Recall, the bout between Yan and Yadong will take place on March 10 at UFC 299 in Miami.
Yan's last fight was against Merab Dvalishvili in March 2023 at UFC Fight Night 221. In that fight, Petr was defeated by unanimous decision. He has 16 wins and five losses on his record. Now the Russian fighter is on a streak of three consecutive defeats.
Yadong last entered the octagon against Chris Gutierrez in December 2023 at UFC Vegas 83. That fight went the full distance and ended in favor of Song by unanimous decision from the judges. He has 21 wins, seven losses and one draw on his record.
