UFC president Dana White has announced that the promotion is returning to Sydney, Australia on September 10 with UFC 293, a tournament that will mark the beginning of partnership with the New South Wales government.
UFC 293 will be the first of three tournaments to be held in Australia in four years. The $16 million deal with the U.S. promotion was also announced by NSW Premier Chris Minns.

White also said that the winner of the fight between Robert Whittaker and Dricus du Plessis at UFC 290 may headline the Sydney event against reigning middleweight champion Israel Adesanya.
