Spain's Minister of Education and Sports, Pilar Alegría, announced that UFC featherweight champion Illia Topuria has officially received Spanish citizenship.

The 26-year-old Topuria fought his last match in February 2024 at UFC 298, where he defeated Alexander Volkanovski by knockout in the second round to become the new division champion. He holds a record of 15 wins and no losses.
