Vladimir Myshev, manager of Denis Vildanov, who signed with the Power Slap league, talked in an exclusive interview with Telecomasia.net about the negotiations between Vildanov's side and representatives of the Power Slap league.
"Me and Vitaly Tarasov discussed the further development of Denis' career. We came up with the idea of signing Vildanov to Power Slap. After that, I started to look for ways to contact Power Slap representatives. I managed to get in touch with a matchmaker by mail, and one of the matchmakers was a girl. By the way, it was with her that we later held an online conference. For three months we kept correspondence with the Power Slap team. Then we had an online conference with me, Tarasov, Vildanov, two matchmakers and an interpreter. For an hour, the Americans were asking Denis about different life situations, trying to get to know what kind of person he is. And one of the questions sounded like this. "What will you do if Dana White is in front of you right now?" Vildanov said White would be surprised by his charisma and strength," Myshev said.
The matchmakers looked satisfied with most of Denis' remarks. I said that Vildanov would help White get over losing Francis Ngannou. After that they sent us a contract for two and a half years and six fights. Besides, we agreed that Denis would take part in a show like TUF. Now we are busy getting visas, I hope we will be able to make a spectacular debut at the beginning of next year.
Power Slap is a promotion owned by UFC President Dana White. Denis "Papa" Vildanov became the first Russian to sign a contract with the American promotion.
