Coach of ENCE team Eetu sAw Saha shared his thoughts about the CS2 release exclusively for Telecomasia.net, and also told how the team is preparing to move to the new game on the professional scene.
SAw confessed that ENCE has hardly spent any time studying the updated Counter-Strike:
We haven't really focused on CS2 so far. We had to concentrate on the current CS:GO tournaments. Some players tested the game to be ready for what's coming next.
ENCE coach believes Valve will quickly adapt CS2 to cybersports:
At the moment I have to say that I like CS:GO better because of the history and the gameplay. I hope that the developers will address CS2 issues. I expect that to happen, so I'm not worried about it.
On September 27, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive was deleted from Steam, with CS2 taking its place. ESL has already officially announced that all the events scheduled for October will be held in CS2.
The first major tournament held in the updated version of Counter-Strike is IEM Sydney, which will be held from October 16 to 22 in Aware Super Theatre (Sydney, Australia). Sixteen teams will play for a prize pool of $250,000.
