The Clippers' only defeat at the summer tournament came in the first game - the Californians failed to cope with Utah (99:105). But the team from Los Angeles achieved three wins in a row. They beat Sacramento (80:70) and Memphis (83:74). And then they beat Philadelphia (102:91).
The meeting with Phila is also notable because the Clippers lost the first half with a difference of 15 points but took the second half with a difference of 26. The most productive player was forward Kobe Brown, who scored 35 points.
Los Angeles Lakers
The Lakers have won only two out of six games this summer. First, the Lakers lost both meetings of the California Classic in Sacramento to Miami (90:107) and San Antonio (99:109). Then they finished the main part of the tournament 2:2 in Las Vegas - victories over Charlotte (93:75) and Golden State (103:96), losses from Boston (90:95) and Memphis (69:100).
The Lakers' most recent meeting with the Clippers, against Memphis, was their worst tournament game. To be fair, Max Christie, the Lakers' main star at summer training camp, did not participate in this game.
