The Englishmen fell short by 62 runs in the first game of the series which means they have to work extra hard to level up and go into the final game. Will they be able to do it or will it be again a scintillating performance by the South Africans?

England is having a tough summer so far with heatwaves across the country and performances have been subpar for the ODI champions. The games are also coming thick and fast and there is very little rest between the games. They have been struggling since the departure of Eoin Morgan and Jos Buttler is not having the best of the starts for his captaincy career. To add to the misery they will be without the services of Ben Strokes who has retired from ODIs. There were some positives also from the first game as Root looked to be back in form. The English team needs to change the approach and mentality to do well going further.

South Africa is coming into the game with a fabulous victory in the first game of the series. Van der Dussen was phenomenal in the first game with his brilliant century and was awarded man of the match for his effort. Anrich Nortje was also brillient with his bowling having taken 4 wickets to see the match through. South Africa will be looking for pretty much the same in the second game to seal the series.
