The Sri Lankan team will be highly pleased with their performance in the opening match, where they convincingly defeated the UAE. This victory not only earned them 2 points but also significantly boosted their Net Run Rate (NRR).

The top-order batsmen of the Sri Lankan team have been in exceptional form and will aim to carry forward their momentum from the previous match. Pathum Nissanka, Dimuth Karunaratne, Kusal Mendis, and Sadeera Samarawickrama all registered individual half-centuries, contributing to Sri Lanka's commanding total of 355 runs. In addition, Charith Aslanka played a valuable cameo towards the end of the innings, receiving excellent support from the all-rounder Wanindu Hasaranga, who displayed a brilliant all-round performance. Hasaranga scored 23 runs and claimed 6 wickets for just 24 runs, which is his best bowling figures in an ODI match.

Sri Lanka possesses two talented seam bowlers, Kasun Rajitha and Lahiru Kumara, who will be eager to make early breakthroughs against the Oman batting lineup. Assisting Hasaranga in the spin department will be Maheesh Theekshana against Oman batters. They will be assisted by all-rounders Dasun Shanaka and Dhananjaya de Silva in the bowling department.

Oman was not widely considered as a strong contender at the beginning of the Qualifiers. They have the least experience among the teams participating in the tournament and also have the highest average age of players. However, against all expectations, the team has defied the odds and achieved back-to-back victories in their first two matches. As a result, they are currently leading Group B and are highly likely to advance to the Super Sixes stage.

Kashyap Prajapati and Jatinder Singh will have the responsibility of providing a solid start for the team. While Kashyap performed well with a half-century in the opening match, Jatinder Singh has yet to find his form and will be eager to contribute with some runs in this match. Aqib Ilyas has displayed excellent form, scoring half-centuries in both matches so far.

In the last game, Aqib was well supported by Shoaib Khan, and together, they form a formidable middle order. The presence of all-rounders Mohammad Nadeem, Aayan Khan, and Zeeshan Maqsood adds depth to the batting lineup. Bilal Khan and Fayyaz Butt have formed an effective opening bowling pair, with both of them picking up four wickets each.

Jay Odedra is a skilled spinner in the team, while the all-rounders will once again play a supporting role with their bowling skills.

The pitch at the Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo offers excellent batting conditions. It is a dry and flat surface, which means there won't be much lateral movement for the fast bowlers. However, the spinners may find some assistance as the match progresses and the pitch wears down. The team batting first will aim to post a substantial total of around 300 runs. The weather forecast predicts clear skies with temperatures hovering around 20 degrees Celsius. We expect Sri Lanka to win the game despite Oman's recent performance.
