The Sunrisers have finally ended their losing streak with a victory against Delhi Capitals, but they need to continue winning if they want to remain in contention for the top 4. Although the batting has been a weak point for them, the recent performance of Abhishek Sharma and Heinrich Klaasen has given them some hope.

Harry Brook's demotion to the middle order hasn't improved his form as he was dismissed for a duck. However, he has previously scored a brilliant century against KKR, and his talent makes him a player to watch out for in the future.

Despite having talented batsmen like Aiden Markram, Mayank Agarwal, and Rahul Tripathi, the team needs them to step up and perform. The lack of runs from Aggarwal and Tripathi is a major concern and often leads to the team falling behind in games.

Although SRH's bowling lineup is not the strongest, Marco Jansen, T Natarajan, and Buvneshwar Kumar are all skilled bowlers. However, they can be expensive on off-days, and the team has suffered a setback due to the departure of Washington Sundar, who was a valuable player in the field and with the bat. Mayank Markande has been a consistent performer for the team and is their leading wicket-taker this season.

The Kolkata Knight Riders started well, but have faced a downward spiral in their performance over the past few weeks. Having lost five of their last six matches, the team has slipped down the points table and now has only five games left to play, including this one. To secure a place in the top 4, KKR will have to play exceptionally well in these remaining matches.

Despite their recent poor form, KKR has a strong batting lineup with consistent players like Venkatesh Iyer, Nitesh Rana, and Rinku Singh. The addition of Jason Roy and Rahmanullah Gurbaz adds more strength to the top order. However, the all-rounders Sunil Narine and Andre Russell have not been able to make significant contributions with the bat. Moreover, N Jagadeesan, who had a fantastic domestic season, has struggled in this tournament.

The team's bowling performance has been disappointing, and they have a tough decision to make regarding the team's composition for this match. Jason Roy and Rahmanullah Gurbaz performed well in the previous match, but their inclusion means that David Wiese or even Sunil Narine might have to sit out.

KKR's frontline bowlers have been expensive, with most of them conceding more than 8.50 runs per over. The team has given away 179 or more runs in seven of their nine matches, which has been a major cause of their poor performance. The seamers have failed to take wickets, with Umesh Yadav having only one wicket in eight matches and Shardul Thakur with two from six. In contrast, the spinners have done a better job, with Varun Chakaravarthy leading the pack with 13 wickets, while Narine and Suyash Sharma have picked up 16 between them. This is where KKR can challenge SRH the most.

The batting-friendly pitch at the venue has an average score of around 170 in the first innings, with some early swing expected but unlikely to be problematic. As the match progresses, spinners will have the advantage of some turn on the dry surface. Chasing a score above 180 could prove challenging here. However, rain is anticipated on Thursday, which may cause delays or interruptions during the match. This can shorten or abandon the game as a whole. Expect KKR to win with their dominant spin attack.
