G2 vs ECSTATIC Prediction: the Danes to Experience Firsthand What HooXi Time is All About

On October 4, the qualification tournament series for the next CS:GO majors, IEM Rio 2022, begins. Intel Extreme Masters Road to Rio 2022: European RMR B is a qualification tournament for the upcoming second major CS:GO eSports event, IEM Rio 2022. European qualification is divided into two groups - A and B, in which 16 teams from Europe and the CIS will fight for eight seats in the main tournament of the year's second half. The contest has no prize fund. Only in each of the two groups, the eight strongest teams will receive a ticket to the major in Rio de Janeiro. A lot of exciting matches and games of the highest level. All this awaits CS:GO fans in the coming days.

As part of the European RMR qualification of Group A, the teams G2 and ECSTATIC will fight in the first round.

G2: the Team is On the Rise

G2 has a star-studded squad, which only NiKo and m0NESY are worthy of, but even they pale beside the Danish captain HooXi. The Dane has just joined this team and has passed all the stages of becoming a legend in the eyes of the community: from the fierce hatred to the love of the people.

The Dane wasn't playing at the BLAST Premier: Fall Groups 2022 tournament. A million fan memes and his small number of kills on Inferno affected G2's morale, but it was also tricky for the four-person squad to play. But G2 made it to the final round of the BLAST Premier, and then it was time for the ESL Pro League Season 16.

In the EPL, the team blossomed. HooXi didn't just start to stack up well, and he began to hit. The team worked with him on his time, and the Dane blossomed. In Group B, the European team didn't lose a card winning five games 2-0, and the opponents were perfect: FaZe, Outsiders, and BIG, plus FTW and MIBR.

The G2 team approaches the major in the top fighting form, and the European group of stars must playfully pass this RMR tournament.

ECSTATIC: the Danes are Outsiders

The Danish team has completely changed its roster for the upcoming RMR tournament. The organization decided to build a new team around maNkz, who joined the team in May 2021. 

The renewed squad of the Danish team from the third open qualification was still able to get to this qualifying event, but the prospects for the tournament in Brazil are shallow. 

In September, the ECSTATIC team played in the group stage of ESL Challenger League S42, the Danish squad is trying to get to the EPL, but their performance results are not impressive. Yes, the Danes didn't drop out, but their game can't be called a success either: they lost twice to Team Falcons (1:2) and won only Ungentium (2:0), though they failed to this team in the second open qualifications for the majors. 

The Danes like to play Vertigo and Overpass cards. The opponents from G2 will hardly dare to play Overpass, but on Vertigo, we will likely see "HooXi time."
