LOSC Lille on the other hand are the better side coming into this clash and it would be no surprise to see them advance at the expense of Olympique Lyon.

Rayan Cherki, Ainsley Maitland-Niles and Alexandre Lacazette all found the back of the net to hand Lyon an easy qualification into the next round. Up next for Lyon was Bergerac Perigord in the round of 32. Malick Fofana opened the scoring for Lyon in the 37th minute but they lost the lead with Romain Escarpit rescuing the home side. And in the 65th minute, Christian Gyebohao was sent off and Olympique Lyon finally got ahead in the 78th minute through Maxence Caqueret. 

It's been a pretty simple run for Lyon so far, but they face a tougher opponent in this round of 16 stage. Olympique Lyon have failed to defeat Lille in their last 2 meetings and the most recent meeting ended in a 2-0 defeat for Olympique Lyon.

LOSC Lille

LOSC Lille are coming into this game with the advantage. They are the better side this season and they are confident they can defeat Olympique Lyon and advance into the next round.

LOSC Lille will have to be on top of their game if they must move into the next round. At the moment, they are on a good run against Olympique Lyon, but that is not enough to get them through against a team desperate to get some consolation after a horrible season.
