Qarabag won the Azerbaijani championship last season by a wide margin from their nearest pursuer. They scored 69 points and were 19 ahead of Neftchi. The team played three friendlies this summer, scoring one win and two draws. They have also qualified for one round of the Champions League, where they lost to Poland's Lech (0:1) in their first meeting, but beat them 5:1 in their second.

Zurich

Zurich triumphed in the Swiss championship. They scored 76 points and were 14 ahead of second-placed Basel. In the off-season, the club played five friendlies, with four wins and one defeat. Zurich qualified for the Champions League last season, but they crushed Young Boys 0:4 in the opening round of the new Swiss league season.

The bookmakers believe Qarabag will win this match. We are not in a hurry to write off last season's Swiss champion. The Azerbaijani club plays really well at home, but Zurich is very confident they will return to the Champions League this season. Surely the visitors will prepare properly for the upcoming game and not to lose at least. Of course, they can't expect to win, but a draw would be fine.
